Terms & Policies

 

RESERVATION POLICIES:

The requested reservation date is not guaranteed. Once a reservation is requested, we will respond to you with either a confirmation of your requested date or a suggested date if that one is already reserved. When both parties agree to their appointment, a contract will be sent from the photographer to you, the client. Contracts are sent via email. A non-refundable deposit will be required before signing said contract. If the contract is not signed and paid within one week of delivery, you forfeit your time and may be subjected to rescheduling. Payments are to be made via credit card and will be processed within your contract form.

CANCELLATION POLICIES:

If you wish to cancel your appointment and have paid your deposit, but have not paid in full, your deposit will be non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a different appointment at a later date. If you wish to cancel your appointment and have paid in full, you will be refunded the total amount of your session minus your deposit. If you wish to reschedule your appointment time after signing your contract, you may be subjected to an extra $25 rescheduling fee.


ARRIVAL:

It is recommended to arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This allows our photographer to introduce themselves and become acquainted with you and your family. This also allows time for a quick detailing of how the shoot will go and time to address any concerns had by either party.


STYLING:

For families and couples, we always recommend coordinating your outfits instead of matching them exactly. Find a color pallet that suits your family’s style and find pieces in those colors or pieces that have patterns with those colors. For example, a pallet of mustard yellow, navy blue, and khaki could give you a variety of clothing choices that do not have to be exactly the same, but will mesh well together in photos. Avoid colors that are too harsh, such as fluorescent or neon as they overpower the scene and become distracting.

For seniors and boudoir clients, we have a hair and makeup styling package available upon request. Please note that this styling package will add additional fees to your total session price. If you do not wish to add this styling package, we ask that you come to the location with hair and makeup complete and ready to shoot. Any additional time that is taken for styling within the agreed upon appointment window will be subtracted from your shooting time. As far as outfits are concerned, we recommend that you come prepared with up to three outfit changes. It is always best to have at least one casual outfit and one formal or dressier outfit. Always wear something you are comfortable and confident in that expresses your personality well.

For newborn sessions, we recommend keeping it simple. Because we provide lifestyle newborn photography and not studio newborn photography, basic onesies, diaper covers, and naked bottoms are the easiest and best way to capture the pureness and joy of your new addition. Parents see family styling above for styling of yourself or siblings during the newborn shoot.

Feel free to bring any props, pets, cars, or the like to provide added elements to your photos to make them stand out.

If you have booked a mini session, props may be provided. Ask the photographer for further details.


GALLERY:

We deliver your images through an online gallery. You are able to download all of your images from the gallery straight to your computer. Download requires a pin that will be provided to you with the gallery link. Print rights will be emailed to you with your gallery and prints may be ordered through your gallery store. You may share your gallery as well via email or social media. Others can view your gallery, but cannot download your images without your pin. Password protected galleries will be provided automatically for boudoir sessions, but can also be provided for any other sessions upon request.


EDITING:

The editing process takes time. Typical turnaround is 2-3 weeks for a standard session and 4-6 weeks for weddings and events. Expediting may be requested for additional fees. The style by which your photos are edited will be at the discretion of your photographer. We have worked hard to achieve a style that represents our brand. If you would prefer a different editing style, you are responsible for bringing that to the attention of the photographer before the editing process begins. Also note that if you do request a different style of editing, your images may not appear on any of our company’s websites, socials, or advertisements as we would like to project the certain style that represents our brand. Altering the photos in any way after delivery is strictly prohibited. This includes cropping, color enhancement, retouching, and the use of filters. Any unauthorized changes made to any photos given to you by Nikki Chattom Photography LLC may subject you to copyright infringement.


RIGHTS:

All photographs by Nikki Chattom Photography LLC are the property of said company and can only be used with the purchase of print rights.
